Enplas Group Code of Conduct and Guiding Principles

Purpose

To establish a business ethic for the Enplas Group by setting forth the basic principles (Code of Conduct) and decision-making standards (Guiding Principles) of behavior that all officers and employees of the Enplas Group should uphold and practice in their work.

Scope of Application

The Code of Conduct and Guiding Principles apply to all officers and employees* of the Enplas Head Office, Enplas Group companies and associated companies.
*Including regular employees, contract employees, temporary employees, part-time employees, and dispatch employees.

(2) Provide quality products and services that our customers appreciate.
(3) Adhere to social norms, including laws and regulations, and compete fairly and with integrity.
(4) Conduct business fairly and appropriately and practice common sense.
(5) Value our relationship with shareholders, business partners, employees, local communities, and other stakeholders.
(6) Respect the human rights and character of every individual and create healthy, comfortable work environments.
(7) Respect human life and strive to conserve our global environment.
(8) Manage information appropriately and disclose information in the right manner at the right times.
(9) Recognize the importance of intellectual property and respect the rights of others while protecting our own rights.
(10) Keep business and personal matters distinct and separate.
(11) Respect the culture and customs of each country and region where we operate.
(12) Take and promote actions that have a positive social impact.

Guiding Principles

Guiding Principles on Compliance with Laws and Regulations, Internal Rules and Policies
Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, company rules and policies in the countries and regions where we operate and engage in sensible business activities in consideration of all stakeholders (shareholders, customers, suppliers, business partners, local communities).

Guiding Principles on Conflict of Interest
Do not act in conflict with the interest of the Enplas Group.

Guiding Principles on Forced and Child Labor
Enforcement of labor against the will of the employee and the hiring of any person defined as a “child” by national laws and regulations are prohibited.

Guiding Principles on Diversity
Harassment and discrimination on the basis of nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, faith, sex, age, language, physical disability, social status, or educational background is prohibited.

Guiding Principles on Maintaining Healthy Work Environments
Strive to maintain positive and healthy work environments that prioritize human safety and wellbeing in all areas of our operations. All actions that constitute sexual harassment, power harassment, and maternity harassment are prohibited.

Guiding Principles on Business Conduct
Do not grant undue benefits to business partners nor receive unfair or undue benefits from business partners.

Guiding Principles on Exchange of Gifts and Entertainment
The exchange of gifts and entertainment in the context of business must in no way deviate from the scope set by national laws and regulations or of societal norms. Actions that constitute bribery or other legal violations of law are strictly prohibited.

Guiding Principles on Product Safety
Prioritize the assurance of product safety above all else, and behave with due consideration for safety in all processes from research and development through production and sales of products.

Guiding Principles on Global Environmental Conservation
To conserve the global environment, engage in operations with an attention toward improving productivity and reducing impacts on the global environment in all product-related processes, from research and development, to procurement, production, sales, distribution, recycling, and reuse.

Collect information necessary for your work in a legal and appropriate manner and take utmost care in managing that information.

Guiding Principles on Information Disclosure
When externally announcing internal information regarding our operations, disclose such information properly, in accordance with laws, regulations, and internal rules, and with caution to preserve confidentiality.

Guiding Principles on Insider Trading
When you acquire knowledge of important unpublicized facts, strictly maintain such facts as confidential until they are publicized.

Guiding Principles on Legal Compliance, Antitrust and Competition
Strictly comply with all laws, ordinances, and regulations on the prohibition of monopolies and on fair competition and trade that apply in the countries and regions where we operate.

Guiding Principles on Protection of Intellectual Property
Patents, utility models, designs, trademarks, copywrites (e.g., software), technologies/know-how. and trade secrets are intellectual property acquired at great costs, including the efforts of our employees. For this reason, protect this property with care and actively utilize it.

Guiding Principles on Assets and Resources
Employ maximum efficiency when using company assets, which include but are not limited to: production equipment, measuring devices, products, parts, intermediate goods, raw materials, indirect materials, computers, phones, mobile phones and other communications devices, furniture, fixtures, and office supplies.

Guiding Principles on Export Control
When exporting products, technologies, and services, carry out strict export control to ensure that we do not violate laws and regulations that prohibit the trade of goods and technologies that can be used or diverted for use in weapons of mass destruction.

Guiding Principles on Organized Crime
As a basic stance toward organized crime groups, neither fear nor pay money to them.

Guiding Principles on Customers
Listen to the voice of customers with humility and sincerity.

Guiding Principles on Contributing to Local Communities
Be aware that you yourself are a member of a local community. Be a servant and partner to that community, such as by helping the community overcome challenges or by participating in local events and volunteering activities.
