  Enplas knows all there is to know about the properties of plastic. Based on data we have accumulated, we use sophisticated optical design software to support development of optical products with design software to support development of optical products with specific capabilities available only from plastic lenses.
Significant advancements have been seen in lens performance with plastic lenses, including the reduction of weight and number of parts in comparison with glass lenses. Plastic lenses allow us to meet properly and thoroughly the various demands of our customers.

Control in units of 1 nanometer through originally developed 'free-form surface processor'
  Aiming to create plastic optical devices not traditional glass ones, we developed an original ultra-precision processor, which manufactures axis-asymmetric free-form surfaces as well as spherical and rotating aspherical surfaces, making them mirror-smooth. It is able to control process functions in units of 1 nanometer - making it a processing machine without equal in the world.
'Ultra-precision mold manufacturing technology' from an original aspherical surface processor
  We have established specialized techniques using an ultra-precision aspherical surface processor. This technology permits us to manufacture nanoscale precision aspherical mold inserts by machining only, eliminating the need for polishing processes which spoil shape precision.

Formation of optical membranes realized using unique technology.
Using a special vapor coating method, we have been able to realize the formation of optical membranes on not only glass, but plastic as well, which in the past was considered particularly difficult. This enables us to provide total reflection mirrors and multilayer coating products.

Thorough quality assurance of mass-produced products through a variety of measuring instruments
  Quality evaluation of mass-produced products is conducted in clean rooms. The latest nanoscale-precision measuring instruments, such as AFM 3D measuring instruments, laser phasing interferometer and profile measuring systems, are utilized for stringent product evaluation.
